Ilya Sobel, MD
Dr. Ilya Sobol is a fellowship-trained endo urologist at Urology of Virginia and Assistant Professor of Urology at Eastern Virginia Medical School. His clinical focus spans complex stone disease, BPH, and prostate cancer. He currently leads the institution’s Stone and BPH Pathway programs and is director of AI Initiatives. He serves as CEO of SynapticIQ, a startup bridging healthcare expertise with AI-driven solutions. His research portfolio includes PCR-guided infection management, predictive modeling in urolithiasis and BPH, and BPH phenotyping, with presentations at AUA, and WCET. Recognized as Urology of Virginia’s 2024 Teacher of the Year, Dr. Sobol remains committed to advancing patient care through innovation, data-driven practice, and collaborative teaching.
